    Description of Topic

Red Bull Crashed Ice, the sport of "ice cross downhill", involves an obstacle course track including jumps, hills, bumps, and turns sloping downhill. Skaters compete to see who can make it to the bottom first, after battling it out down the 500 metre track. The first race took place in 2001 and the sport has continued to grow in popularity ever since. Races now take place all over the world every year, making the competition to be the best even more difficult. Those involved in the sport hope to one day see it become an Olympic event.

    Author Profile

My name is Maria Murphy. I am pursuing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. I created this wiki in partial fulfillment of the requirements of ADM1370 Applications of Information Technology for Business. I chose to do Red Bull Crashed Ice because I have played hockey for 13 years and think that ice cross downhill is very exciting and interesting to watch because it brings the intense physicality of hockey into an entirely new sport.

    Reflection on Wiki use

I think that wiki use for this type of assignment was a generally good idea since it enabled us all to collaborate. We were able to collaborate on different sports related to our main topic "Adrenaline Rush". We were able to include information, videos, pictures, and news feeds from multiple sources and put them all into one place for easy access and discussion. It was easy to see how our group members were progressing as well as sharing ideas with each other.
